In celebration of Motown week on the X Factor, we’re taking a look at X Factor judges and previous contestants who have covered Motown classics!

In 2010, One Direction star Harry Styles auditioned as a solo artist with Stevie Wonder’s “Isn’t She Lovely”.

Judge Nicole Scherzinger recently recorded a version of The Jackson 5’s “I Want You Back”.

Winner of Series 9, James Arthur sang a fantastic version of Marvin Gaye’s “Let Get It On” during the live shows.

In Series 5, JLS wowed the judges with their rendition of “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”, with judge Louis Walsh remarking “You remind me of one of the early Motown groups.”

Olly Murs shot to fame thanks to The X Factor, and it all started with performing Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition” in his first audition.

And finally, in Motown week back in Series 8 in 2011, Little Mix channelled their inner Supremes with their version of “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”.
